Chinae’s Famous Stuffing Recipe
A couple of weeks ago Summer and I were chatting about our favorite holiday dishes, and I mentioned my favorite stuffing recipe. Summer immediately turned her nose up and said that she has always hated stuffing. So, of course, I made it my mission to turn her into a stuffing lover.
Mission = successful. After one bite, I had officially converted her, and she’s not the only one! Not to brag…but all of the stuffing haters I’ve ever met have changed their minds after trying my special recipe. 😏
Looking to up your stuffing game this Thanksgiving? You can find my recipe below or on the Instagram reel I made for y’all here.
Ingredients
One tube of pork breakfast sausage (spicy or mild)
1/2 large white onion
4 stalks of celery
5 tbs butter
2 tbs fresh thyme
1 tbs dried sage (or 2 tbs fresh sage)
1 32 oz carton of chicken bone broth
Pinch of salt
Pinch of pepper
1 bag of Pepperidge Farm Herb Seasoned Classic Stuffing
Directions
Brown one tube of pork breakfast sausage, half of a large white onion, and 4 stalks of celery in a pot.
Once browned, set aside in a bowl.
Add 5 tablespoons of butter, 2 tablespoons of fresh thyme, and 1 tablespoon of dried sage to the empty pot on medium heat.
After the butter has melted, add in your chicken bone broth, and a pinch of salt and pepper
Once it comes to a simmer, add in the sausage, onion, and celery mixture and one full bag of the Pepperidge Farm Herb Seasoned Classic Stuffing.
Fluff until combined, and remove from heat
Let it sit for 5 minutes (covered).
Then pour into a shallow baking pan, and broil on low until the top is crispy and browned (about 10 minutes).
Serve and enjoy!
