My Thoughts Going into 2022: A Letter from Me to You

My Thoughts Going into 2022: A Letter from Me to You

Hi friends,

I wish I could say that 2022 has started off with a bang, but as we sit largely at home, we all know the truth. The start to this year has been tiring to say the least. I think the first couple of weeks of January have felt more like a slow creep than anything else.

I wanted to share some thoughts with you for this upcoming year that might lift your spirit or at least shift your mindset.

Entering year three of a pandemic with almost the same uncertainty as year one is difficult because it feels the same. Listen, friends…it might feel the same, but WE are not who we were.

We’re more resilient than we thought.

We’re more resourceful than we thought.

We can find more meaning in small moments than we thought.

We’ve culled down our relationships to the ones we truly want in our lives.

We’ve stretched our empathy muscle and expanded our capacity to hold space.

We’ve sought to better ourselves in the midst of the world crashing down around us.

As Queen Rhi says, “We found love in a hopeless place”.

So, any time you get down or feel like you’re circling around, know that you, in fact, are on an unknown trajectory, but you hold more power now than when you started.

We’re so excited to share this year with you. More joy, more work to be done, more skincare to review, and maybe we’ll even share a few tears in the process.

I’m here for you. I’m with you. I love you.

Thank you for being my people who never go down without a fight.

Cheers to a year of uncertainty but strength nonetheless.

xx, Chinae
